Wallschlaeger’s Weekly
January 8, 2018
Dear Second Grade Parents,
Welcome back to school. I hope everyone had a wonderful, restful Christmas break. Today is the beginning of the Second Semester and report cards will be coming home on Friday.
Thank you for your generous response to the “God Cares About You Ministry.” We ended up with over 20 coats, a large bag of toys, a bag full of warm hats and mittens, and gifts of money. The items were picked up and given out at the Mission’s Christmas Eve Service. Many homeless children
benefitted from your generous donations. Thank you all for your generosity.
I would like to thank Reina Firstenburg for planning the activities for the Second Grade Christmas party. I would also like to thank Robert and Xiaona Morgan for coming early and helping set up for the party. I would also like to thank all of the parents who rearranged their schedule to join us for the party or donated food for the party.
The 26th of Jan. is the Education Fair and I need to know who will be participating. It is not required for 2nd Graders to participate in the Science Fair, but I know many students do enjoy it. If your child will be participating, please sign the bottom portion of this letter and return it by this Friday. It will be helpful to know how many students are entering in order to reserve enough tables for Second Grade. Also Mrs. Cotter is still looking for judges on that day to judge the projects. If you are interested please contact Mrs. Cotter. I hope you have a wonderful week. May God be with you and bless you in the coming year. Happy 2018!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wallschlaeger
